Bina Puri Secures RM19.7 Million Contract In Sabah
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- Bina Puri Construction Sdn Bhd has secured a RM19.7 million project in Mabpai, Kota Kinabalu, to build a seven-storey apartment block, a clubhouse and related infrastructure facilities.
The wholly-owned subsidiary of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd has received the Letter of Award from Arkitek Oma Sdn Bhd for the Taman Tiara Phase One project off Jalan Sukang at Mabpai.
Construction of the 30 apartment units is expected to be completed in 18 months, said Bina Puri Holdings in a statement.
Currently, the group's orderbook stands at RM2.39 billion as it has managed to secure new projects worth RM1.41 billion this year and is continuously bidding for new projects, locally and abroad.
It said the award of the Mabpai project had further strengthened Bina Puri's presence in Sabah and Sarawak. Last month, the group was awarded RM10.995 million contract to build 24 units of two to three-storey shop offices in Alamesra, Kuala Menggatal, in Sabah.
In September, it won RM36.76 million contract to undertake sub-structural work for part of the Kota Kinabalu City Waterfront Development, a joint-venture project between DBKK Holdings Sdn Bhd and Sunsea Development Sdn Bhd.
Since its expansion to Sabah on July 15, 1994, the group had completed RM1.5 billion worth of projects in the state.
